Directions: By car: Turn off the A483 signposted to Llangollen and travel on A5 though Froncysyllte to Llangollen. Travel straight on at traffic lights in the direction of Corwen, passing Aldi and then the White Waters Hotel on your right. After around 1 mile you will see the Berwyn steam railway station on your right, as the road bends to the right. Slow right down and take the turning signposted to Ruthin right next to the station, and travel down under the railway bridge and over the stone bridge crossing the River Dee. Turn left at the T Junction, passing the Horseshoe falls Car Park on your left, and continue for around 3 miles through llantisilio and onto Rhewl. Stay on this road, past The Sun Inn on your right hand side, and Riverside Cottage and then Avondale are the first building after the pub on your left – they are cream
painted stone semi detached cottages.
